The Circular Attachment is the perfect tool when you want to make unique embellishments on your sewing projects, garments, or quilts. You can sew simple circles, flowers, or parts of circles to create unique borders and graphic patterns. Combine circles in different sizes and create large patterns. Almost all utility or decorative stitches can be used when stitching with this attachment, so you are free to use your favourite.
With the Circular Attachment, you can sew circles with a diameter measuring from 6cm up to 26cm (2 ½” to 10 ¼”) The diameters are printed in both centimetres and inches for ease of use.
The attachment comes with 3 different templates to increase your creativity. The circular template no. 1 allows you to accurately decide the size of the circle you need to sew when using on a project. A Four-Petal Flower template, no. 2 is great to create four-pointed petal flowers. Sew part circles, stopping and realigning as per the template markings. Why not try offsetting another 45 degrees and make an 8 Petal flower? Or try the Six- Petal Flower template, no. 3, allows you to create a 6-petal flower of your choice.
For best results whilst using the Circular Attachment, we recommend using the extension table for extra support. This makes it easier to control and guide the fabric when sewing.
Always use a stabiliser underneath the fabric to prevent puckering and stitching of the fabric.
When selecting stitches, the shorter the stitch, the easier it is to get a nicely joined circle. When about to close the circle, slow down the sewing speed to make matching the design easier. Always use a forward feeding stitch design.
